Team Formation Policy

Objective
It is the goal of TC United to form teams that give all registered participants a chance to experience youth soccer at an appropriate level to their age and skill. Our teams are formed based on age and location of the player. TC United attempts to group players based on school location. Additionally the league attempts to ensure that roster sizes allow for every registered player to receive adequate playing time, and an appropriate number of recovery minutes during a game.

Special Requests
Special requests for coaches/teams/friends may be made during registration but are not guaranteed. All special requests will be denied once a team’s roster is full. There are no exceptions to this. Requests are handled based on date of registration and team history.

TC United believes that regardless of which team a child is placed on, he or she will have an opportunity to play soccer in a fun and positive environment.

Please note that TC United controls registration and will not turn away players unless registration is made after the league can accommodate the request due to paperwork deadlines outside of TC United’s control or because there is no room on any of the teams suitable for the player seeking a late registration. It is TC United’s goal to accommodate the maximum number of players. The President, working with the league Registrar, is charged to make every possible effort to roster all players by actively recruiting coaches.

Recreational Refund Policy

Objective
It is the policy of TC United to grant refund requests that are received by the registrar prior to June 20th for Fall registration and February 20th for Spring registration. All refund requests received after that time may be granted on a case by case basis. Refund requests that are received within two weeks of the scheduled start of the season and thereafter will not be granted.

A $25.00 non-refundable fee is applied to all refunds. This covers non-refundable State and District fees.

Injury/Medical Exemption
An exception to the policy will only be granted when a refund request is submitted as the result of an injury or medical condition provided the request is made before the scheduled start of the season. In such case the request must be accompanied by a doctor/physician’s note indicating that the injury or medical condition prevents the player from participating in soccer. The injury exception does not apply once the season has started.
